Earthquake Kit

The Hawes Health and Safety Committee is committed to ensuring the safety of our children should a disaster occur. We maintain sufficient communication equipment, food/water, first aid supplies, as well as search and rescue equipment. We strive to be prepared and able to provide food, warmth, and safety for our students and staff if a disaster makes it necessary for students to remain at school for more than 24 hours.

Our procedure is to have pre-packaged disaster kits, with a five-year shelf-life, readily available for all students and staff. These kits consist of water, protein bars, blankets, wipes, flashlights, and first aid supplies. Periodically, these supplies need to be replaced and updated.

We kindly ask that each Kindergarten family make a one-time donation of $10.00 per child.
